4 steps to create your very own Private Twitter Group!
Now you and your friends or coworkers can send tweets to each other privately. No special clients or websites required, use Twitter as you always do.
- Create a NEW account for your group on Twitter. Choose the option "protect my updates" (found in settings link in header) to make the group private.
- Provide us with the group's credentials so that we can repost direct messages back to the group:
- Send new members the URL to your group's twitter page (e.g. http://www.twitter.com/groupname) and tell them to click on the "send request" button. Approve the request via Twitter when it comes in.
- Done! Any time a member of your group direct messages the group twitter account (which they can do by typing "d grouptwitterid and then message"), their message is forwarded to the entire group.
